Who can take part
- Your baby is 21 days old or younger
- Your baby was born at least 34 weeks pregnant and weighs at least 2,500 g
- Tests show CMV infection (for example, CMV found in urine/saliva/blood/CSF, or CMV in urine culture)
- Your baby has moderate or severe CMV illness signs (such as low platelets, enlarged liver/spleen, brain/eye findings, or hearing loss)
- Baby’s blood and organ labs meet safety cutoffs (ANC, hemoglobin, platelets; kidney and liver blood tests)
- A suitable donor immune response is available for the needed CMV T-cell treatment
