- You must have rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed using the 2010 ACR/EULAR classification criteria
- You need to be a patient seen at Assiut University Hospital (Physical Medicine, Rheumatology & Rehabilitation)
- You should not have other autoimmune connective-tissue diseases (like lupus or systemic sclerosis)
- You should not have other autoimmune diseases besides rheumatoid arthritis
- You should not have long-term (chronic) liver disease or kidney disease
- You should not have known genetic diseases
