Program training to improve chronic pain care

This trial tests whether a 4PCP training program for primary care clinicians improves both clinician and patient outcomes for people living with chronic non-cancer pain. If you have long-lasting pain and can take part in questionnaires and visits, your participation may help evaluate whether this program leads to better care and results.

Who can take part

  • You have chronic non-cancer pain for more than 3 months
  • You have no planned surgeries for your chronic pain
  • You can take part in required questionnaires in English
  • You have attended at least 2 appointments in the participating clinician’s practice
  • Your clinician is a general (primary care) doctor, not a pain specialist
  • You are not followed in a specialty pain clinic for your care
