Lithium to improve sleep and thinking after heart surgery
Treatments studied
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests whether lithium carbonate can improve sleep and thinking (cognitive function) after heart valve surgery that uses a heart-lung machine. It may help some people who have trouble sleeping or thinking after surgery, but it excludes people with significant sleep or thinking problems before surgery.
