Who can take part

  • A parent or guardian gives permission and your child gives consent (if required by the study)
  • Your child is between 8 and 13 years old when the study starts
  • Your child is nearsighted within the study’s range and has limited astigmatism
  • One eye’s vision test result must be good enough to qualify (specified logMAR score of 1.0 or better)
  • Your child can follow all study visits and treatment instructions (no planned noncompliance)
  • You can participate in random assignment to a study group (not everyone gets the same treatment)
