Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 6 and 14 years old.
  • Your child must have nearsightedness (myopia) of at least -0.50 diopters.
  • Your child must have good vision that can be corrected with glasses or contacts.
  • Your child must have overall good eye and body health.
  • Your child must speak English well enough to understand the study details.
  • Your child must be willing to use contacts or other treatments to slow myopia for one year.
