Who can take part
- You had Roux-en-y gastric bypass and are being considered for bypass reversal
- You have one of these main problems: ongoing nutrition issues needing IV nutrition, severe dumping symptoms despite diet, hard-to-treat marginal ulcers with narrowing causing feeding trouble, or liver scarring (advanced fibrosis) with signs you may worsen after bypass
- Your blood clotting issues can be treated or are not “unfixable”
- You do not have significant portal hypertension (for example, enlarged blood vessels in the esophagus or stomach, or other pressure/hemodynamic measurements that meet study limits)
- You can safely participate: not pregnant/breastfeeding, able to use reliable birth control if applicable, and your overall health is not too poor
