Who can take part

  • Your baby is under 7 months old and is being treated at Turku University Hospital’s neonatal unit
  • Your baby weighs at least 2.5 kg at the time of the exam
  • Your baby does NOT have a known genetic disease
  • Your baby does NOT have a serious birth defect that needs surgery
  • Your baby does NOT have a brain (central nervous system) tumor
  • Your baby has no allergy to SonoVue (a contrast medicine used for the scan) and is medically stable
