Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older, and you have a lung nodule 8–40 mm that may be early lung cancer (no swollen lymph nodes on scans).
  • Doctors have not confirmed the exact lung diagnosis yet, and the nodule isn’t a pure “ground-glass” type or a hilar mass.
  • Your planned care would happen at the Moffitt Cancer Center—either surgery there or SBRT radiation there if surgery isn’t recommended.
  • You are not currently receiving any cancer treatment, and you don’t have uncontrolled medical problems that would interfere with follow-up.
  • You agree to long-term follow-up and are able to understand and sign consent; you can be either fit enough for regular activities or have only mild limits (ECOG 0–1).
