Who can take part

  • You need a pacemaker lead that goes into the right ventricle, based on standard guidelines
  • You do not already have a tricuspid valve leak that is moderate to severe (grade 2 or higher)
  • You do not have other severe problems with heart valves
  • You have not had prior treatment on the tricuspid valve
  • You do not already have a right-ventricle pacemaker lead
  • You are able to safely have the ultrasound test done through the esophagus
