Who can take part
- Your baby must be a newborn up to 60 weeks after due date (post-menstrual age) on surgery day
- Your baby must be having a major surgery for specific birth-related conditions
- The surgery must be for one of these: congenital abdominal/GI problems, certain lung cysts, EF/TEF, or certain spinal birth defects
- A parent or legal guardian must give permission for the study
- Your baby may be able to join again if they have another qualifying surgery
