Who can take part
- Your baby must be at least 28 weeks gestation (or more).
- Your baby must be less than 28 days old (a newborn).
- Doctors expect your baby will need an endotracheal breathing tube (intubation) for at least 24 hours.
- A parent/guardian can provide consent, unless the study site uses an opt-out or delayed-consent approach.
- A cerebral oxygen monitor (cerebral oximeter) must be available to start monitoring within 6 hours after intubation.
