  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Be in a coma after cardiac arrest, meaning you cannot follow verbal commands and do not respond to pain
  • You must be younger than 80 years old when you enter the study
  • You must not be pregnant
  • Care/life support must not be planned to be stopped within 24 hours of arriving at the hospital
