Non-drug treatments for urinary leaks after prostate surgery

Post Radical Prostatectomy Urinary Incontinence

This trial studies whether applying an external magnetic treatment (magnetic stimulation), doing pelvic floor muscle exercises, or doing both together can reduce urinary leakage after radical prostatectomy. Who can take part

  • You are a man age 18 or older
  • You had prostate cancer that was low- or intermediate-risk, and you chose surgery (radical prostatectomy) as your main treatment
  • Your surgery was performed at Hamad General Hospital by the urology team (open or robotic approach)
  • You did NOT have urinary leakage or an overactive bladder diagnosed before the prostate surgery
  • Your surgery did not have major complications like a urine leak or needing a catheter for more than 3 weeks or repeated catheter insertion
  • You are able and willing to join the study
