- You agree to take part by signing a consent form before screening
- You are between 18 and 60 years old
- You have type 2 diabetes
- You do not have severe liver problems such as fluid buildup (ascites), yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), or confusion (encephalopathy)
- You do not have liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) or other active cancers
- You have not had major heart or stroke problems like a heart attack, stent, bypass, or stroke
