Diet study for type 2 diabetes with fatty liver disease

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with both type 2 diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
  • Your weight has not changed by more than 4 kg (about 9 pounds) in the last 3 months.
  • You are either not on diabetes medication or on a stable dose of 1 to 3 oral medications (with or without insulin) for at least 3 months.
  • You must not have serious heart, kidney, liver, or other major health problems listed in the exclusion criteria.
  • You are willing and able to give written consent to participate.
