Who can take part
- A parent or legal guardian must consent, and the child should agree if they can understand (assent).
- Your child must be between ages 3 and 9 when they join.
- Your child must have been part of the EPOCH study before, or your child’s sibling/friend must have been part.
- There should be no known serious heart problems (congenital heart disease) or other major long-term illnesses that affect heart or metabolism.
- If the study includes an MRI for your child: they must be able to safely have an MRI (no MRI contraindications) and pass the MRI screening questions.
