Spinal cord stimulation study for long-term spinal injury outcomes

Who can take part

  • Be age 22 or older and able to understand and sign consent
  • Have a stable spinal cord injury below the C5 level (not in the neck area)
  • Not rely on a ventilator (breathing machine) within the past year
  • Be more than 1 year after your spinal injury, and at least 6 months since any spine procedures, and 2 months since stimulator surgery
  • Have a working, FDA-approved implanted spinal cord stimulator system with hospital documentation and imaging of it
