- You are under 50 years old
- You have had one of these clot types: splanchnic vein, brain vein, upper-limb vein, or a lung clot (pulmonary embolism)
- Your clot must be unprovoked (without a clear temporary cause) based on the study’s definitions
- You have not been pregnant
- You have not had recent major temporary clot triggers like recent surgery or long immobilization
