Who can take part

  • You must be 65 years old or younger
  • You cannot have active cancer
  • You must have had a proximal pulmonary embolism (a clot near the lung’s main blood vessels)
  • Your clot must be either unprovoked (no clear trigger) or provoked (with a clear trigger), depending on which group you’re placed in
  • You must have negative thrombophilia testing (no inherited clotting condition found)
