Who can take part
- You are between 5 and 70 years old when the study data is collected.
- You have autism, confirmed by a clinical psychologist.
- You have difficulty communicating (for example, you may not speak or rarely communicate in usual ways).
- You live in a care home with staff around the clock, at least 5 days per week, or attend a one-to-one staffed school/day-care at least 5 days per week.
- Your legal representative can give written consent for you to join the study.
- You do not have an autoimmune condition.
- You do not have cancer that is being treated with chemotherapy.
