Who can take part
- You’re 18 or older and have stage IIIB or IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
- You have not had any prior “systemic” anti-cancer treatment for stage IIIB/IV NSCLC (no prior chemo/tablets/targeted cancer drugs).
- Your tumor (or blood) tests show a primary HER2 change: an insertion mutation, a point mutation, or HER2 amplification.
- Your scans show at least one measurable tumor spot, and you can expect to live at least 12 weeks.
- Your body is strong enough for treatment: good blood counts, liver and kidney test results, and heart function with left-ventricle pumping fraction (LVEF) 50% or higher.
- You can take pills and there are no recent trial-drug/major-surgery issues that would interfere with safety or timing.
