Who can take part

  • You are a woman age 18 to 70 with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (stage IV).
  • You have not received any previous cancer treatment for this recurrence or spread.
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
  • Your overall health is good enough for daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • Your blood counts, liver, kidney, and thyroid function are within certain limits.
