Who can take part

  • You’re older than 18 years.
  • Your cancer has been confirmed by biopsy as invasive squamous cell carcinoma in the tongue and/or inner cheek (buccal mucosa).
  • Your tumor is early stage (T1 or T2).
  • Your scans and exam do not show enlarged cancerous neck lymph nodes (node negative).
  • You are planning to have the cancer removed through the mouth (no major external surgery planned).
  • You have not had cancer treatment yet (treatment-naïve) and you don’t have another current cancer elsewhere.
