Testing how new Crohn’s imaging and scopes predict outcomes

This study follows children newly diagnosed with Crohn’s disease to see how results from scans and endoscopy (camera scope) relate to outcomes over the first year. It may help doctors choose better early treatment plans and monitor children more effectively.

Who can take part

  • Be between 6 and under 18 years old when you enroll
  • Have a suspected Crohn’s diagnosis at the start (and stool tests that don’t explain the diarrhea)
  • Be able to stay in the study for follow-up visits for about 6 months at first and at least 52 weeks after starting anti-TNF therapy
  • If there’s a need for Crohn’s confirmation, avoid cases where Crohn’s is found only after bowel surgery right away
  • Be able to have an MRI scan (MRE); claustrophobia or other barriers may exclude you
