Who can take part

  • You are between 19 and 40 years old.
  • You are having a C-section at 37 weeks or later (one baby).
  • Your C-section will use spinal anesthesia and a Pfannenstiel (lower) incision with the uterus being brought out.
  • You must be an ASA “physical status II” patient (generally mild, controlled health issues).
  • You can understand and use the pain scoring method during the study.
