Study of Spinraza in pregnancy for 5q spinal muscular atrophy

Who can take part

  • You are (or were) pregnant during the study’s exposure window, including during pregnancy.
  • You are in one of these registries: US ISMAR, UK Adult SMA REACH, or the SMArtCARE network (Germany/Austria/Switzerland).
  • Your SMA diagnosis is confirmed by genetics as “5q SMA” (linked to chromosome 5q).
  • You received Spinraza (nusinersen) up to about 14–14.5 months before conception and/or during pregnancy.
  • You did not take risdiplam (also an SMA medicine) from about 2 weeks before conception through pregnancy, and you do not plan to take it during pregnancy.
