Who can take part
- You are female and age 18 or older
- Your overall health is good enough for study participation (doctor rates you as at least moderate on a standard cancer health scale)
- Your breast cancer was diagnosed by a needle biopsy and is not reachable by touch (non-palpable), and it needs a localization procedure
- You are able and willing to have breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy) and you do not have reasons you cannot have this surgery
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Your cancer type and tumor setup fit the study limits: not inflammatory cancer or Paget’s disease, not too large (over 5 cm), not stage IV or unable to be removed
