Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old (over 70 needs special approval).
  • You have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) along with a type of lung scarring (interstitial lung disease).
  • Your lung function tests show a forced vital capacity (FVC) less than 65% of predicted and a DLCO (ability to transfer oxygen) above 30%. Or if you had part of a lung removed, the doctor will assess based on remaining lung volume.
  • You are currently on a stable dose of pulmonary hypertension medication for at least 90 days.
  • You can walk between 100 and 450 meters (about 1 to 5 football fields) in 6 minutes, and two tests show similar results.
  • You agree to use effective birth control (if applicable) and not donate blood/eggs/sperm during the study and for 90 days after.
