Who can take part
- You must be 40 years or older.
- You must have been diagnosed with IPF in the last 5 years and have scarring on at least 10% of your lungs on a CT scan.
- Your lung function tests must show moderate function (FVC at least 45% of normal, DLCO at least 30% of normal).
- If you take IPF medications (like nintedanib or pirfenidone), you need to be on a stable dose for at least 12 weeks before starting.
- You cannot be a current smoker or have had a flare-up of IPF in the last 3 months.
- You must be able to use the study inhaler correctly.
