Who can take part
- Be admitted to a Level 1 trauma center (a major emergency/trauma hospital).
- Have an injury that is related to alcohol.
- Identify as Latinx and be 18 years or older.
- Have a blood alcohol level (BAC) of at least 0.001 and/or be considered at risk for heavy/problem drinking.
- Your injury cannot include a serious brain injury or debilitating condition that lowers your Glasgow Coma Scale score below 15.
- Your thinking/memory must test okay—Mini-Mental State Exam score must be above 24.
