Scans compared for children with neuroblastoma

Neuroblastoma

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This trial compares two different nuclear medicine scans to see which one best shows where neuroblastoma is in a child’s body. The results may help doctors choose the most helpful scan for planning care.

Who can take part

  • Your child has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma from tissue testing, or doctors strongly suspect it based on exam, scans, labs, and gene tests
  • Your child has had (or will have) an mIBG scan within 7 days of an FB G PET/CT scan
  • No cancer treatment happens between the first scan and the second scan
  • A parent or legal guardian can understand the study and sign the consent form

Comparing two imaging tests for children with neuroblastoma

This trial tests a new PET scan tracer (18F-MFBG) against the standard SPECT scan (123I-MIBG) to see if it better shows neuroblastoma tumors. It's for children whose cancer has come back or hasn't responded to treatment.

NCT06852807Recruiting
New PET scan for neuroblastoma in children

This trial uses a special PET scan called 18F-mFBG to take pictures of neuroblastoma tumors. It helps doctors see where the cancer is and whether treatment is working.

NCT05069220Recruiting· Early Phase 1
PET/CT scan to study neural crest tumors

This early-phase trial uses a special PET/CT scan to help evaluate neural crest tumors, which include conditions like neuroblastoma. It may help doctors understand how well the scan shows tumor activity to guide diagnosis and treatment planning.

NCT07195500Recruiting
Imaging scans for neuroblastoma and related tumors

This trial uses special PET/CT or SPECT/CT scans that light up certain types of tumor cells (neuroblastoma and pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma). The scans help doctors see where the cancer is, how far it has spread, and whether treatment is working.

68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT for neuroblastoma imaging

This study tests how well a new PET/CT scan using 68Ga-DOTATATE can find neuroblastoma. It’s for children and young adults who are being planned for a different scan (123I-MIBG) to compare imaging results.

NCT06000787Recruiting
MCT imaging for brain tumors and neuroblastoma

This study is for children or young adults already in specific brain tumor or neuroblastoma trials. It looks at how a type of imaging (MCT) might help doctors better understand and treat these cancers.
