Robotic ultrasound monitoring for severe traumatic brain injury

Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 or older
  • Your injury is a blunt head injury and happened within the last 72 hours
  • Your initial Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) is 8 or less (a measure of how awake you are)
  • There is enough “TCD window” for the ultrasound test to work on your head
  • A legally authorized representative can give consent if you cannot consent yourself
