Who can take part
- Be a newborn born between 22 and 30 weeks of pregnancy (very premature)
- Have no known (prenatal) serious heart defect that causes blue color (cyanotic congenital heart disease)
- Have no known (prenatal) congenital diaphragmatic hernia (a hole in the diaphragm)
- Be eligible for breathing support/resuscitation (parents are not requesting no resuscitation)
- A pulse oximeter (oxygen sensor) can be used and measure preductal oxygen levels within 3 minutes of being placed on your baby
