Who can take part
- You have stage I to III breast cancer and already had surgery (lumpectomy or mastectomy).
- Your doctor recommends radiation after surgery to the breast/chest wall and the nearby lymph nodes (underarm levels I–III, plus specific nodes near the collarbone and inside the chest).
- Your body scan showed no spread to distant organs (negative PET/CT or similar scans like CT chest/abdomen/pelvis plus a bone scan).
- You can start radiation within 12 weeks of your last surgery or the last day of chemotherapy.
- Your energy level score (ECOG) is 0, 1, or 2 (able to do self-care; not fully bedridden).
- If you could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test.
