This study tests whether an AI system can improve how doctors detect and evaluate findings during outpatient colonoscopies. You may be eligible if you are having a scheduled sedated colonoscopy and do not have certain bowel conditions or bleeding risks.

Who can take part

  • Be 20 years of age or older
  • You are having an outpatient sedated colonoscopy at one of the listed hospitals in Taiwan
  • You have no history of inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis)
  • You have no history of colorectal cancer or prior bowel surgery
  • You do not have certain inherited polyp syndromes (like Peutz-Jeghers or familial adenomatous polyposis)
  • You do not have a bleeding tendency and you are not coming for planned endoscopic treatment
