Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 65 years old.
  • You have a scheduled colonoscopy as an outpatient.
  • You have not had a colonoscopy before.
  • You have not had surgery on your colon or rectum.
  • You are not on biological therapy (a type of immune treatment).
  • You do not have any of these: a rare liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis, a condition called familial polyposis syndrome (many polyps), chronic diarrhea, or inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis or Crohn's).
