Who can take part
- You must be an adult having planned (scheduled) brain surgery
- Your surgery must use special brain/nerve monitoring (neurophysiological monitoring)
- You should be generally well enough for anesthesia (ASA I to IV)
- You must not be pregnant
- You must not have obstructive hydrocephalus (fluid buildup) or a related shunt/catheter
- You must not have an implanted neurostimulator device
- This is for non-emergency surgery (not urgent or rushed)
