Who can take part
- Your child is 0 to 18 years old
- Your child is having elective (planned) surgery at Peking University First Hospital
- Your child is considered generally healthy for anesthesia (ASA I–II) by the anesthesiologist
- The surgery is not for the head or the heart
- Your child was not born prematurely (not preterm) and is within typical height/weight ranges for their age
- Your child does not have certain conditions (muscle, nervous system, or major mental health problems) and does not have major birth/genetic diseases
