EDTA lock solution to prevent line blockages in children

Who can take part

  • Your child is followed by an intestinal rehabilitation program at a participating center
  • Your child has intestinal failure and has needed IV nutrition (TPN) for most of the last two months
  • Doctors expect your child will need TPN for at least 6 more months after joining
  • Your child is under 18 years old, and has passed at least early infancy age milestones
  • Your child has a tunneled central line/port/PICC and can safely do home TPN with a daily “time off”
  • A clinician and caregiver agree to follow the study rules, including random assignment
