This study looks at people who had a heart attack and had a special CT scan (CT angiography) before or during the years leading up to it. Researchers will use the scan and computer analysis (AI) to better understand heart plaque and how it may relate to heart attacks.

Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 80 years old
  • Have had a coronary CT angiography (CCTA) between 3 months and 5 years before your recent heart attack
  • Your CCTA must have shown plaque narrowing of at least 10% in a coronary artery
  • Do not have familial hypercholesterolemia (a specific inherited very-high cholesterol condition)
  • No prior heart procedures to open or bypass arteries (no PCI or CABG)
  • No previous heart attack before the recent one, and no severe kidney or liver problems
