Who can take part

  • Be age 18 to 80.
  • Have decompensated cirrhosis and were admitted to the hospital for a serious liver-related problem (like fluid buildup, confusion, GI bleeding, infection, or a mix).
  • Have a CLIF-C AD score of 45 or higher at admission or during your hospital stay.
  • Be recovering from the acute problem and expected to be discharged within the next 72 hours.
  • Be able to start and follow the study right after this hospital episode, including giving written consent.
