Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • You have advanced cirrhosis with signs of “worsening” that includes a Child-Pugh score between 7 and 12.
  • You have ascites (fluid in the belly), confirmed by exam and/or ultrasound.
  • At least 5 days have passed since your last liver worsening event or hospitalization.
  • You cannot have certain conditions that would make albumin unsafe or make the trial less applicable (for example: very severe liver failure not caused by cirrhosis, or a recent TIPS procedure).
