Who can take part

  • You must be planning to have surgery (and the patient is ages 2–17)
  • The patient’s guardian can give permission for surgery and study participation
  • The patient has not had a COVID-19 diagnosis in the last 6 months
  • The patient has never had nosebleeds that are a known problem
  • The patient does not have a bleeding problem (coagulopathy)
