- You recently had a stroke (acute or subacute stage)
- You are currently admitted to a stroke rehabilitation unit/ward
- You can make your own decisions or understand the study well enough to participate
- Your stroke is not related to a traumatic brain bleed (from injury/trauma)
- You do not have severe trouble speaking or understanding (severe aphasia)
- You do not have a severe ongoing serious illness that is actively progressing
