Who can take part

  • You are currently in the hospital right after giving birth (postpartum during your delivery stay).
  • You are at least 18 years old and able to give informed consent.
  • You were diagnosed during pregnancy with gestational diabetes (GDM), not pre-existing diabetes.
  • You speak English or Spanish.
  • You receive prenatal and postpartum care through Ohio State University (OSU).
  • You can complete a 2-hour mouth test that measures sugar levels (oral glucose tolerance test).
