Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 85 (over 85 may be allowed after extra review).
- Your lower back/buttock pain is diagnosed as SI joint disruption or degenerative sacroiliitis for over 6 months and you tried the best non-surgery care (like physical therapy/home exercises and medicines such as NSAIDs) without enough relief.
- A special SI joint injection gave at least 75% relief of your main pain on two separate occasions.
- Your disability and pain scores are high enough: disability score at least 30% and pain score at least 60/100mm (or 6/10 on a number scale).
- You need imaging (X-ray or CT) showing SI joint changes, and your exam must match SI joint pain patterns.
- You can follow the study plan and communicate with the team by phone/text/email, and you must sign consent.
