Who can take part

  • You have a blocked upper-arm dialysis access graft (an AVG) with a clot (thrombosis)
  • Doctors can successfully reopen the graft during the procedure (blood flow returns and you can feel the thrill)
  • You can understand and sign consent for the study
  • You have not had a bare metal stent or stent graft placed in the dialysis access before
  • You have not had a drug-coated balloon treatment in the last 3 months
  • You do not have current serious infection (sepsis) and you are not allergic to key study medications or contrast dye
