Who can take part
- You’re 18 to 75 years old
- You have stage II–III esophageal squamous cell cancer confirmed by biopsy, and surgery isn’t an option
- Your planned treatment must include neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy, then chemoradiation (CCRT) with immunotherapy, then immunotherapy afterward
- Your day-to-day function score (ECOG) is 0 to 1 (fully active to limited but able to do most things)
- Your blood, liver, and kidney lab results are within required safety ranges
- You can sign informed consent, and if you can become pregnant you must have a negative pregnancy test
