Fetuin A test to predict kidney function decline

Who can take part

  • You have high blood pressure and are taking at least one blood pressure medicine
  • You do not have diabetes (including based on recent blood sugar or HbA1c results)
  • Your blood pressure is not very uncontrolled (not around 180/110 or higher in clinic or on 24-hour monitoring)
  • You are not on dialysis or any kidney replacement therapy
  • You do not currently have active severe illness from the listed conditions, such as ongoing acute infection
  • You do not have major liver disease or a terminal, incurable illness
